I had the thought, while flying out west, that I'd like to walk across the United States. I would start from the eastern shores of New York and walk in a straight line through Pennsylvania, over the Appalachian Mountains, through the flatlands of Indiana and Ohio, across those Rocky Mountains, and into the top of California or the bottom of Oregon until I hit opposite shores. I wouldn't get to walk through the sand dunes and deserts of Nevada though, which got me started on this whole thing. I might have to make a detour and walk south.

so many dog-eared pages.
